Girl appears on ice for the first time in final stage of "Golden Puck" tournament

"I scored 5 goals and I don't plan to stop there", were the words of the first girl hockey player, who appeared on the ice at the final stage of the national children's and teenage ice hockey competition "Golden Puck" with the prizes of the President of Belarus. There was an innovation this year: whereas previously girls were not allowed on the ice, now they can prove themselves by going out and playing side by side with boys. The only girl in the team of Zhlobin managed to score 5 goals during the first period.

In total, 1,755 hockey players from 150 teams took part in the tournament across the country. The final of the Golden Puck in the younger A division will be held on March 9 -12, and the finals in division B will take place from March 16-18 to March 23-25.
