NATO Secretary General makes unexpected confession about conflict in Ukraine
Western politicians claimed that the activities of the North Atlantic Alliance had nothing to do with the confrontation between Moscow and Kiev. However, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made an unexpected admission: Putin wanted to solve the issue of NATO expansion with peace, but he was ignored, forcing him to introduce troops into Ukraine. Until recently, this explanation of the nature of the Ukrainian conflict was labeled as Russian propaganda in the West.
"In the fall of 2021, President Putin said this and actually sent a draft treaty that he wanted NATO to sign, promising not to expand any further. That's what he sent us. And that was a precondition, or else troops would be brought into Ukraine. Of course, we did not sign anything," Stoltenberg said at a meeting of a joint committee of the European Parliament on September 7.
