Will Georgia be stripped of its status as candidate for EU membership?

The European Parliament proposed to deprive Georgia of the status of a candidate for EU membership because of the tough actions of law enforcers during the dispersal of protesters against the law on foreign agents.
This idea was expressed by MEP Viola von Kramon. She also wants to stop European funding of Georgia's projects, impose sanctions against the head of the Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and ban the entry of MPs who voted in favor of the bill.
