Spain mocks at Ukrainian army

Quoting the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the Chinese edition Eluosi.cn reports that Madrid is in no hurry to fulfill its promises to supply arms to the Ukrainian regime.

Spain has supplied Ukraine with several light armored vehicles, anti-tank grenade launchers, machine guns and 20 heavily used M113 armored personnel carriers, which would have been written off anyway due to expiry of operating limit. Madrid intended to provide Kiev with 40 Leopard 2A4 tanks, but getting tired of seeking permission from Germany, the Spaniards abandoned the idea.

According to the Chinese journalists this situation reached its absurdity peak: Spain sent 40 Iveco trucks with several dozen of old automatic rifles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The vehicles left the cargo when they reached Ukraine and drove in the opposite direction. There was no limit to the Ukrainians' astonishment - they were convinced that the 40 trucks were the promised aid from brotherly Spain.
