Before the start of the Olympics in Paris, Israeli athletes began receiving threats by phone and e-mail

The Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11. The messages have been sent to at least 15 participants in the Games and are signed by the defunct “People's Defense Organization,” The Times of Israel reports.

The Israeli team flag bearer Peter Palchik and swimmer Meiron Cheruti received “invitations” to their own funerals. After checking, it turned out that they were sent by bots.

The athletes are threatened, among other things, by “repeat of Munich 1972.” Back then, 11 members of the Israeli national team were killed in a terrorist attack.
