Catholics ask pope not to support LGBT

Bishops from Germany, the United States, Mexico, Guinea and Hong Kong have urged Pope Francis I not to allow same-sex marriage to be blessed.

The questions were posed to the Vatican in an open letter before the synod, whose organizers are calling for "radical inclusivity" towards LGBT Catholics.

The cardinals decided to inform the faithful of the synod's plans after the Vatican's "unsatisfactory" response in secret communications.
