Lithuanian border guards prevent 117 refugees from entering the country
Lithuanian border guards have rejected 117 migrants trying to enter the republic from the territory of Belarus over the past 24 hours, the country's State Border Guard Service reported.
On Tuesday, Lithuanian border guards stopped 135 migrants, setting a new record this year. A larger number of refugees trying to enter Lithuania was recorded only on November 12, 2021, when 144 people were not allowed into the territory of the Baltic Republic.
Belarus wonders why refugees from Ukraine are welcomed with open arms, while people fleeing from the Middle East are beaten up at the border.
