Trump quotes Putin's words about democracy in United States

Donald Trump quoted the Russian President to prove that democracy in the United States is in danger, Politico reports.

"Even Vladimir Putin...He said it was Biden's doing, quote, ''Politically motivated persecution of opponents is very good for Russia because it shows the rottenness of the American system, which cannot claim to teach others democracy.'' We talk about democracy, but the whole world is looking at political persecution of an opponent that kicks his ass,'' Trump said at a rally of supporters in the state of New Hampshire.

Trump quoted Putin’s words uttered in September at a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, commenting on the prosecution of the former U.S. president.
