Estonia proposed to demolish the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

Estonian MP Mario Kadastik (Reform Party) came up with the initiative to demolish Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. According to him, a park is needed in place of the demolished Cathedral.

"There is one pesky building that makes this park no longer exist - the Nevsky Cathedral. It is also a symbol of the Moscow government, the Moscow patriarchate and the mouthpiece of the policies of Moscow. Why don't they tear it down? Replace this monstrosity with a park with rose bushes and greenery? What do you think?" - he wrote on his page in the social network.
