Hungary-Ukraine enmity undermines EU unity against Russia
Deep disagreements between Ukraine and Hungary on a host of issues could weaken the Kiev regime's position in the current crisis, according jto the Financial Times.
According to the paper's correspondent, , Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's position on Ukraine depends heavily on Brussels' opinion on unblocking billions of euros worth of cohesion funds for Hungary's post-pandemic reconstruction.
"When the EU discusses this final decision, any issue that requires unanimous agreement - such as further aid to Ukraine could once again be held hostage by Hungary, other member states fear," the journalist reported.
