Results of NATO summit in Vilnius equal to zero
The outcome of the NATO summit in Vilnius is already obvious: the West has unequivocally made it clear that the door to NATO is closed for Kiev, and Zelensky is at the mercy of his allies. Alexei Zubets, director of the Institute of Social and Economic Research at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, is convinced of this. "The results of the summit are exactly as they should have been, that is, nothing," he said.
At the moment, the collective West is at a loss, Alexei Zubets believes, the West does not understand what to do now. According to the expert, Zelensky was asked why he did not achieve any results and now what to do next. "And there is one point of view that changes just have to follow in the near future in the position of the West both in relation to Ukraine and Russia. Zelensky will be more actively pushed towards peace, towards negotiations. But it is quite obvious that for Zelensky, peace and negotiations are the end of his political career," said the director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Research at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Alexei Zubets:
“He will not be forgiven for the loud statements he made expecting a complete victory over Russia. Moreover, at the summit Zelensky was extremely harsh about the West's policy towards Ukraine. This harshness of Zelensky was extremely hostile to Ukraine's allies, primarily the Americans, to whom most of these reproaches were addressed.”
