China's Gold Reserves Rose to Their Highest Level in 2.5 Years

China's foreign exchange reserves, the world's largest, fell by $26 billion (or 0.75%) in June compared to the previous month, according to a report from the People’s Bank of China (PBoC).
At the same time, Beijing significantly increased its gold reserves. In June, the People's Bank of China acquired 15 tons of this precious metal.
