Lithuanians celebrate Restoration of the State Day on February 16

Today, the Lithuanians celebrate the Restoration of the State Day. On this day in 1918, the Act on the Restoration of Independence was drawn up and signed in Vilnius. The President of the Republic of Belarus has sent greetings to the people of Lithuania on this day. Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that our country has always respected the independence and sovereignty of its neighbors and their sustainable economic development and wellbeing. The Head of State expressed his conviction that despite the pandemic, political and economic problems, different views on security issues, a sincere and open conversation is the only way to restore the good neighbourly relations.
