European Parliament Calls for Sanctions against Macron

Slovak MEP Luboš Blaha called for sanctions against the French president for the brutal suppression of domestic protests. He recalled that the EU has lectured other countries for years, demanding sanctions for any unrest, but now turns a blind eye to violence within the union.

Earlier, MEP Mariani openly stated that the protests in France are a manifestation of a deep societal crisis, for which Macron is primarily responsible.
