Heads of CIS military departments in Moscow discuss new system of Eurasian security

The heads of the CIS military agencies discussed the new system of Eurasian security in Moscow. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin took part in the event.

While opening the meeting, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that under the new geopolitical realities, the vector of cooperation with friendly countries should be directed at building equal and indivisible Eurasian security. There is a lot of work to be done here.

Andrei Belousov:

"Seeking to preserve the role of hegemon, the collective West is trying to undermine regional stability. That is why the BRICS enlarged summit in Kazan paid special attention to the problems of peaceful conflict resolution and the formation of a just multipolar world order".

The participants of the meeting agreed to further promote stability in the Eurasian region. And more than 120 joint events will be held in 2025.

When discussing the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Belarusian Defense Minister noted that the joint celebration would be a common response to attempts to distort history.
