Le Monde: Peace talks are inevitable

The French newspaper reports that the leadership of most Western countries is convinced that peace talks are inevitable: Ukraine is too exhausted to continue fighting. It does not matter at all who wins the US elections: both Biden and Harris clearly understand the hopelessness of the Ukrainians' situation. And Trump so easily promises to achieve a ceasefire immediately after his election. The only obstacle to negotiations is Zelensky's position, but he too will soon have to recognize the sad reality: it is impossible to go on fighting.
