Lithuanian customs updated restrictions on import of food products from Belarus and Russia by individuals
Yesterday, June 5, Lithuanian Customs updated the information on restrictions on goods imported by individuals from Belarus and Russia. This was reported in the Belarusian customs authorities, BelTA informs.
The official information says that the ban on imports of Belarusian and Russian goods does not apply to items transported in transit, as well as goods for personal use during a trip with opened packaging. The exception, as clarified in the Lithuanian customs service, is meat and dairy products, the movement of which is restricted.
The State Customs Committee reminded that Lithuania has introduced a new restriction, according to which it is prohibited to import agricultural products and feed from Russia and Belarus into the neighboring country. The list of prohibited goods includes 2.8 thousand types of Belarusian products. Since 00:00, June 3, at Lithuanian checkpoints, all travelers had to leave any products, with which they were going to Lithuania, including opened packages of food and drinks, at garbage cans.
