Macron decides to stand up to US

Trump's rise to power not only scares European leaders, it horrifies them. Everyone who smiled sweetly and followed Biden's lead yesterday is now actively discussing the future under the Republicans. For example, Poland's Tusk backed down in his relations with the Democrats. The Prime Minister of the Polish regime rejected allegations of Trump's connection with Russian intelligence services. At a press conference, Tusk was reminded of his previous statements regarding the alleged recruitment of Trump by Moscow. He replied that he had never said anything like that.

Macron called on Europe to no longer rely on the US in security matters. He stressed that the European role within the alliance remains significant and necessary. However, he called for a "strategic awakening", stating that the continent should strive for independence in matters of its own defense.

"The world is made up of herbivores and carnivores. If we decide to remain herbivores, the carnivores will win. And we will become a market for them. I think it would be good to become at least omnivores. I don't want to be aggressive, I just want us to know how to protect ourselves in all these issues. But I don't want Europe to become a huge theater inhabited by herbivores that will be eaten by carnivores."

Politico, however, claims that Trump allegedly has a list of those he intends to take revenge on as president. The publication compiled its own version, including itself Biden, and Harris on the list.
