'Erroneous attempt to play God' - Pope Francis urges to respect human biological sex

The Pope is against - The Vatican has released a document outlining the Catholic Church's position on the issue of gender. The published declaration has been developed by the Church for more than five years. The document declares that the concepts of transgenderism, surrogacy and gender theory are contrary to human dignity.

Pope Francis called for respect for the biological sex of a person and support for family values, as, for example, surgical gender reassignment or artificially induced pregnancy are "an erroneous attempt to play God."
