Poland presents plan to strengthen borders with Russia and Belarus

Polish Ministry of Defense presented the program "Eastern Shield" worth 2.5 billion euros. The plans to strengthen the borders with Belarus and Russia have been previously reported, but today this project has found architectural flesh and money blood.

All the details are unlikely to be known because of the secrecy, but some things have leaked to the press. The Minister of Defense said that the elements of border reinforcement will include modern means of blockade of movement. Special fortifications and an advanced video surveillance system will also be installed. And the recently erected fence worth 400 million euros will be gradually demolished.
