Putin: We will not allow a civil war to happen again
The Russian government will not allow a civil war to happen again. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a televised address, BelTA informs.
Vladimir Putin said that Russia is fighting an uphill battle for its future, reflects the aggression of neo-Nazis and their masters, while virtually all military, economic and information machine of the West is directed against Russia. "This battle, when the fate of our nation is being decided, requires unity of all forces, unity, consolidation and responsibility, when everything that weakens us, any strife that our external enemies can and do use to undermine us from within, must be cast aside. And that is why actions that split our unity are, in fact, a betrayal of our people, of our comrades-in-arms who are fighting now at the front, this is a stab in the back of our country and our people," he said.
Vladimir Putin called the actions of the leadership of the Wagner" a betrayal and treason.
"Excessive ambition and vested interests have led to treason, treason to their country, their people, and the cause for which fighters and commanders of the Wagner group fought side by side with our other units and units. The heroes who liberated Soledar and Artemovsk, the cities and towns of Donbass, fought and gave their lives for Novorossiya and the unity of the Russian world. Their name and glory have also been betrayed by those who are trying to organize a rebellion, pushing the country toward anarchy and fratricide, to defeat and ultimately to capitulation. I repeat: any internal turmoil is a deadly threat to our statehood," he stressed.
"Actions against such a threat will be tough. All those who deliberately took the path of betrayal, who prepared an armed insurrection, who took the path of blackmail and terrorist methods, will suffer the inevitable punishment. They will answer both to the law and to our people," vowed Vladimir Putin.
"The armed forces and other government agencies have received the necessary orders. Additional anti-terrorist measures are now being introduced in Moscow, the Moscow Region and a number of other regions.
