US to announce plans to sell arms to Israel

Washington is quietly increasing arms sales to Israel. Two key Democrats in the U.S. Congress agreed to approve a major arms sale to the country - informs "Washington Post".

It is specified that this decision was taken amid pressure from the administration of US President Biden. The large arms shipment worth $18 billion will include 50 F-15 fighter jets.

The authors of the publication specify that the deal is unlikely to be blocked by Congress and will be one of the largest arms sales to Israel since the beginning of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October last year.
