IDF and Hamas conclude 30-day truce agreement
Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on a 30-day truce. Qatar, the U.S. and Egypt acted as mediators in the talks, Reuters reports.
Hamas will release all Israeli hostages, Israel, in turn, some Palestinian prisoners and stop fighting in the enclave. Humanitarian aid to Gaza will also increase.
It has not yet been announced, when the truce will take effect. In the meantime, dozens of demonstrators are again preventing trucks with humanitarian aid from entering Gaza and demanding the release of Israeli hostages. The protesters blocked about fifty trucks.
According to the Financial Times, the IDF is working to create a buffer zone in the Gaza Strip, despite US statements against changing the enclave's border. So far, about half of the buildings near the border have already been demolished, which is about 1,500 homes
