U.S. put its forces in Middle East on high alert

The US has put its forces in the Middle East on alert. Additional F-16 aircraft were sent to the region amid a possible escalation of the situation.

According to Fars News, the explosions took place near the Imam Khomeini Airport and in the eastern part of Tehran. In addition, social networks report that Syria, Iraq and Jordan were also hit.

Iranian authorities closed the country's airspace after the Israeli strikes. The air traffic was also suspended in Iraq. There is no information about casualties as a result of the attack. Iran's army command said that most of the strikes in Tehran were successfully repelled, all enemy air targets were shot down.

Sources in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also said Israel will “receive a proportional response.”
