Spanish group that sold Belarusian and Ukrainian women into sexual slavery caught in Spain
The police in Spain together with Europol held an operation to eliminate a criminal group engaged in human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The victims were Ukrainians and Belarusians, who were lured into the network with promises to issue them a residence permit. There were 14 girls in total. The law enforcers made 5 arrests, including the alleged leader of the group (they are citizens of Spain, Russia and Ukraine). They were charged with crimes related to illegal prostitution and violation of the rights of foreign citizens.
