Another Soviet monument destroyed in Latvia

Latvia destroyed another Soviet monument. We are talking about the monument in memory of heroes-partisans in the Ludza District of the Republic. Another one is in the queue - in the town of Zilupe, there the obelisk is installed on the burial place of fallen Soviet soldiers.

According to the current legislation, such monuments cannot be demolished. But the symbols on the monument do not give rest to the local authorities, who took the initiative to change the law.

The question of the possibility of committing such acts of vandalism is being considered by the Seimas Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
