Counter-terrorist operation regime introduced in Russian regions because of attempted military mutiny
The counterterrorist operation mode is imposed in Russia's regions due to the attempt of a military mutiny, BelTA reports referring to TASS.
In order to suppress possible terrorist attacks, a counterterrorist operation regime has been imposed in Moscow and the Moscow Region, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of Russia has said.
The Russian Ministry of Emergencies reportedly postponed the diploma awarding ceremony for graduates of departmental universities from Red Square, and the Moscow Transport Department warned of possible delays and cancellations of inter-regional buses from Moscow to southern destinations. As Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, stated that all mass events in the capital had been cancelled, but the movement was not restricted. All the city services of Moscow are fully operational.
The counter-terrorist operation mode was also introduced in Voronezh Region, where all mass events were also cancelled. In Lipetsk Region and Rostov-on-Don, all mass events have also been cancelled. The authorities urge people to stay indoors and away from home.
Transit travel is temporarily restricted in the Tula Region from the Moscow and Lipetsk Region
TASS also reports that the building of the " Wagner Center " on Zolotaya Street in St. Petersburg is cordoned off by law enforcement officers.
