Gang of doctors detained in Ukraine for sale of human organs abroad
Ukraine is sinking deeper and deeper into modern Western "values", methods and approaches. Details of a high-profile case of organ trafficking have become known. According to local media, the participant of the criminal scheme was a former Deputy Minister of health, and now the head of the transplantation department in the Ukrainian Heart Institute. He and 10 other doctors were detained.
According to the investigation, illegal operations were put on the stream, and biomaterials were exported abroad. The participants of the criminal group face up to 12 years in prison.
Due to the detentions, the lives and health of those people in Ukraine who need urgent transplants are now under threat. No transplants have been performed in the country for two weeks already.
