West arranges global clothing dump in Africa
The beaches of African Ghana look more like an endless garbage dump. And most of the garbage is donated by Western countries. The second-hand clothes are sent to Africa as a gesture of goodwill. Every week Ghana alone receives 15 million pieces. Only a small portion is recycled. The rest goes to landfills, polluting the local flora and fauna. And although Africans have been demanding for years to limit supplies or pay compensation for environmental damage, the "green" Europe and the U.S. have not heard these requests.
