80% of Belarus' food exports go to neighboring market
The balance of food supplies to Russia has been achieved. This was stated today at the joint board of the agricultural departments of the two countries in Minsk. 80% of food exports of Belarus goes to the neighboring market. This year's revenue has slightly decreased compared to last year, the reason is the prices in foreign markets, which have fallen.
Special attention is paid to safety for consumers. The creation of an information system for traceability of goods and phytosanitary control has been successfully completed. Specialists of the two countries have carried out work on interfacing information resources. A protocol on harmonized agricultural policy has also been signed.
In a short period of time the countries have reorganized logistics, created new channels of mutual settlements. They have also compensated for the losses of the previous year and are showing good growth rates.
