А. Lukashenko on Great Stone development: we will proceed from the interests of the state and investors
The Great Stone industrial park development and possible innovations were discussed today in Independence Palace. The Sino-Belarusian project is almost 7 years old and it has become a really economic brand of the country, well known far beyond its borders. It offered to investor the unprecedented privileges for development, and geolocation (on the way from Europe to Asia). The park became a magnet for tens of companies from different countries.
And this progressive growth of residents was not interrupted even by the pandemic. But time is calling for an update of the legislation. Today there is a tough competition for investment. And better working conditions is a guarantee of growth of capital investment, and economic effect for the country as a whole. The President is sure: if during the years of its work the Great Stone has shown such an effect, its development should be intensified. But all changes should be focused on the interests of the state, society and investor.
Today, the Great Stone has 69 residents from 13 countries. Half of them have already launched production. This has allowed us to create over a thousand 600 jobs. The new draft decree aims to improve the investment climate by simplifying administrative procedures and expanding the range of activities, including traditional Chinese medicine.
