Alexander Lukashenko orders to build more electric charging stations
The President was reported on the development of the Belarusian energy sector. The energy system generates about 4% of the GDP! It is an important sector of the economy especially taking into account the implementation of the major investment project in the history of the country. Belarusian NPP has already received a license to operate the first power unit. The industrial use is ahead! As for the second power unit, it is 85% ready. In autumn it is planned to load fresh nuclear fuel. By the beginning of next year, it is expected to produce the first kilowatt-hours to the grid. The President was interested in the government's steps to increase the consumption of electricity inside the country and for export.
The President also instructed to take more active steps to develop the means of electric transport and the infrastructure needed for this. Over the last two years, approximately 200 charging stations have been built in the country. The same number will be built by the end of this year. The President is convinced that such services should be offered not only in big cities, but also in small towns and agro-towns.
