Belarus considers alternative routes for supply of fertilizers
"Taking into account the unfriendly policy of Lithuania lately, Belarus was working on alternative routes for the supply of fertilizers, even before the Minister of Transport of Lithuania stated that the ports of his country would not accept our cargo for transit from December". This was announced today by the Belarusian Prime Minister. Roman Golovchenko stresses that it is not yet clear whether this is the official state position of Lithuania. But if such a decision has been made, the neighboring country will lose up to one hundred million euros.
Among the alternative routes are the ports of Murmansk, Leningrad Region and several other points are now being considered.
