2 million 216 thousand tons of grain harvested in Belarus

The topic of food security is a problem that literally took on a global scale. Political conflicts, the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting general economic downturn have led to a global food crisis. Sanctions pressure and military tension in the world only exacerbate the situation. Under such conditions, those who rely on their own strength will stand firm in the first place. As the practice shows, the chosen course on agriculture development in our country justifies itself completely. We not only provide ourselves with food, but also earn money on export. And this year we will have enough bread, assure our agrarians, and the weather contributes to this. The pace of harvesting is higher than last year.

As of July 28, 2 million 216 thousand tons of grain was harvested in Belarus. Brest Region is in the lead - it has passed half a million boundary. The same mark today will be crossed by Minsk Region. Almost a third of the area is harvested. The average yield in the country is almost 33 centners per hectare.
