Golovchenko: Belarus and Uzbekistan have long known what they want from each other
Belarus and Uzbekistan have long been engaged in a systematic work, and we clearly know what we want from each other, said Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko at the closing of the Uzbek-Belarusian business forum.
Today, the two countries are determined to search for new forms of cooperation, and thanks to the current negotiations of the business community, 25 contracts will be signed in the near future. We are emphasizing economic diplomacy - we have already talked about it at the bilateral meeting of prime ministers. Belarus and Uzbekistan are not competitors to each other, and it is easy for us to find the intersection of interests. The key role is given to the business community.
We are expecting a business mission from Uzbekistan in Minsk as early as in January. We aim to organize regional forums as well. Promising areas for cooperation include pharmaceuticals, construction, textile production and the agricultural sector.
