Iran intends to obtain observer status at EAEU

Iran intends to obtain observer status at the EAEU. The request was approved at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the countries of the association. The final decision will be taken by the heads of state - members of the Union at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

At the end of last year the EAEU and Iran signed a full-scale free trade agreement. It is aimed at eliminating import duties on almost 90% of the commodity nomenclature, which accounts for more than 95% of mutual trade.

Thanks to the document, the agrarians of the countries - members of the Union will have exclusive conditions for the supply of a number of goods to the Iranian market.
