MTZ to produce tractors with engines of fifth environmental stage

The policy of diversification of sales markets adopted by Belarus is possible only under competitive economy and high quality standards of manufactured products. Next year Minsk Tractor Plant will start producing tractors with engines of the highest, fifth, environmental degree. The contract for a new large-scale supply of components was signed today by the plant and the German supplier. Zeppelin Power Systems has been supplying American engines to European countries and Russia for many years. Cooperation with Belarusian companies includes supply of engines for the trains of the Belarusian Railway, equipment for Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and Gazpromtransgaz Belarus. In addition to signing the contract, the partners discussed plans for the maintenance of equipment in Belarus.

At the moment, the most environmentally friendly engines on tractors BELARUS, have a fourth eco level. The new environmental standard "Stage Five" will be introduced in the European countries within the next two years. It is much stricter than current environmental standards and is aimed at limiting emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
