Ceremony of closing construction contract held at Vitebsk hydroelectric power station

The general contractor was the Chinese National Electricity Corporation. The station is capable of producing more than 130 million kilowatt-hours annually. This is enough to provide energy for the entire Vitebsk region.

A whole cascade of hydroelectric power stations is planned to be constructed on the Western Dvina River. The Polotsk Hydroelectric Power Station is already operating. An investor is being searched for the construction of a hydroelectric complex in the Beshenkovichi district.
