The Prime Minister reported to the President today on the results and trends in the economy. The government has no serious concerns about the current socio-economic situation. But as the head of state noted, there are a number of alarming factors. One of them is the negative trade balance. This means that imports of goods and services are outstripping our exports. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to analyze the situation in detail. The President also gave a number of other instructions.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
“What do we have with payments at the highest level? Accounts receivable, accounts payable. How are we progressing in terms of servicing our equipment? We have agreed that we should create unified centers for servicing all Belarusian equipment and decide in which locations. Let's say, in Russia, China, other countries. As for debts... Overdue debts - what is the situation here? I am guided by the fact that we have certain shortcomings in housing construction and a number of other shortcomings that we should pay attention to. Well, as well as the current situation in the economy and, above all, in agriculture. We need to mobilize.”
