Russia to keep gas price for Belarus at same level
The price per cubic meter of Russian gas for Belarus has been agreed at $128.5 until 2025. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, writes Sputnik.
A joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia was held in Brest.
"Agreements have been reached on the further format of work, and most importantly - the price of Russian gas at the level of $128.5 per cubic meter has been agreed for Belarus until 2025. We expect that the industry departments will consolidate the agreements by protocols," said Reshetnikov.
The price of $128.5 has been in effect for Belarus for the past few years.
In December 2022, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko spoke positively about this price level.
"The price is commercial, which is formed and agreed yesterday by Presidents (Lukashenko and Putin - Ed.), it is based on the Belarusian offer," he said then.
Union programs
At the joint board in Brest, head of the Ministry of Economy of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov also said that some union programs (roadmaps of integration) require additional attention. They include plans to unite the markets of oil, oil products and gas.
