China is the only country that gave us loans for an industrial enterprise. This was reported on the program "Main Air" by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov.

No other country has financed us for the development of production, for the development of industry in these years, - he noted. Since 2008, 27 projects worth more than 5 billion dollars (these are both credit resources and direct investments). In total, these projects gave us a quarter of GDP at the moment, and every year they give us 2-2.5% of GDP. This characterizes, and we will continue active cooperation in industrial development, including on the basis of Chinese credit lines, which are preferential for our country, and in the current situation are the most comfortable both in terms and interest rates," the First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Speaking about the importance of Chinese technologies for the industry of Belarus, Nikolai Snopkov said that he is deeply convinced that this is the basis for future stable economic development, our development of industrial potential, new technologies. "For the third year in a row, China has been ahead of all countries combined in the number of patents on artificial intelligence. That is, this indicates that it is a technological engine," he emphasized

Nikolay Snopkov:

"We have signed and are currently working on a program for the harmonization of industrial policies between the Ministry of Industry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. I am deeply convinced that this is the main document that needs to be worked on now. It has been developed into a detailed plan, which already contains specific projects (there are 30 of them at the moment, these are specific projects in machine tool manufacturing, in joint developments and in the joint creation of the automotive industry, petrochemicals, wood processing)."

The government, according to him, is deeply convinced that machine tool manufacturing is the foundation of all mechanical engineering, and it is not for nothing that the emphasis is placed on machine tool manufacturing. "And at the moment, this project is being actively implemented on the basis of and together with Chinese technologies. We have worked out detailed plan No. 2 at the moment, there are already 117 projects. Now we are working with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China on signing this plan. This is much more in-depth, it covers more industries, including pharmaceuticals and medicine," he said.
