Council on Strategic Investment Projects to be established under aegis of President of Belarus

The Council on Strategic Investment Projects will appear under aegis of the President of Belarus. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Yermolovich following the meeting of the head of state on improving the system of planning and control over the implementation of strategic projects, BelTA informs.

Maxim Yermolovich noted that Belarus has implemented a number of significant large-scale projects. At the same time, some of them are not so successful or there is a deficit in promising projects if financial resources are available.

"The President drew attention to the implementation of his initiative "One Project - One District," important projects for the development of the regions of our country. At the level of heads of state it was agreed to allocate additional financial resources for the implementation of joint cooperation projects with Russia. There, too, the dynamics should be accelerated. Therefore, we discussed what organizational measures should be taken, how the institutional structure should be built to ensure that these projects are born, undergo the appropriate expertise and submitted for consideration by the head of state, and then, subject to their approval, implemented in the shortest possible time," said the deputy head of the Presidential Administration.

The meeting discussed the need to create and peculiarities of functioning of the center and the Council on Strategic Investment Projects.
