Belarus and Buryatia to develop new areas of cooperation

A delegation from Buryatia is working in Minsk these days. The task is to find new niches for cooperation. In 6 months, the trade turnover has grown by 30%. What other areas will we work in were discussed at a meeting of the working group

This work week began with a Union State agenda. The working group on cooperation between Belarus and Buryatia met at 9 o'clock. Such meetings are held alternately in Minsk and Ulan-Ude. The third meeting was hosted by the Belarusian capital.

The delegation of Buryatia arrived in Belarus with almost the entire government. The governor, his deputies, specialized ministers who are responsible for all areas of the economy and many fields from mechanical engineering to medicine. Yes, there is great mutual interest. And it is expressed not only in numbers, but also in the proximity of positions to what is happening in the world.

"We have similar assessments, even though we are geographically located in different parts of the world. It is 5 thousand kilometers from Minsk to Ulan-Ude. But there is no distance that our equipment would not cover. "Belarus" tractors work in the fields of Buryatia, and BELAZ trucks help mine coal. These dump trucks are beyond competition, the head of the republic believes, like many products with the prefix "Made in Belarus".

"And of course, we expect a tangible economic effect. In 5 years, the trade turnover has grown 6 times! But this is not the limit. In long-term plans, we focus on science and technology. These are the main building blocks for building the union's future".
