World Quality Day celebrated in Belarus

The World Quality Day is celebrated today in Belarus, although this term is spoken about in our country not only on the second Thursday of November. The quality of Belarusian products is already a brand. Domestic enterprises work every day to improve the safety and competitiveness of products and services. Traditions of quality have state support. The relevant state program until 2025 is now in force. The key task is to promptly respond to both external factors and the needs of the domestic market. In 2023, about 470 STB and GOST standards were approved. In total, there are more than 30 thousand documents in the database of state standards.

Elena Morgunova, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus:

“We envision tightening of some criteria, quality indicators, strengthening of quality management systems, development of these systems and new standards under the quality management system.”

The output of quality products is not only the financial basis for new projects, but also the image of the whole country. It is not by chance that 2024 is declared the Year of Quality in Belarus.
