Belarus to support enterprises implementing import-substituting projects - mechanisms proposed by updated law

The Belarusian government will continue to support enterprises implementing the import-substituting projects. The Economy Minister Yury Chebotar reminded: the updated law "On Investments" offers mechanisms. This includes an expanded package of benefits and preferences, as well as the possibility for the state to purchase part of the products, as well as budget transfers.

The list of products classified as import-substituting serves as a reference point for manufacturing business. It includes more than 2.7 thousand items: from foodstuffs to complex products. Also, according to the Minister, this year the government will expand support for exporters under new contracts, in accordance with the Presidential Decrees No. 534 and No. 466.
