Tajikistan hosts summit of heads of government of countries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization
Today Tajikistan hosts the summit of heads of government of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, where Belarus acts as an observer. The main topics are the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation and the development of regional ties. So, Prime Minister Sergei Rumas stated the need to deepen scientific cooperation and expand discussion of security issues. In addition, according to the head of government, Minsk is ready to work actively in order to strengthen the food security of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
A number of bilateral talks took place at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit today. The Belarusian Prime Minister met with the head of the government of Afghanistan. Sergey Rumas and Abdullah Abdullah stressed the importance of strengthening contacts between countries. The same topic was raised at meetings with leader of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Keqiang.
