Crew of combine operators in Vitebsk region harvests 1000 tons of grain

Combine operator Leonid Alekseenko and his assistant Pavel Honyak have harvested the first 1000 tons of grain. They work in the farm Zaozerye in Lepelsky district. They are harvesting winter rye. The culture is high-yielding. In some areas the yield is 102 centners per hectare. The leader of the region Nikolay Sherstnev came to congratulate the leaders. The crew was given certificates and gifts.

In the north of the country, more than 12 percent of the area with grain has been harvested. The average yield is 29 centners per hectare.
