Cooperation is only getting stronger - Lukashenko outlines key stages of cooperation between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan
Minsk and Bishkek can increase trade turnover and develop joint production.
This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan. Ermek Ibraimov is completing his diplomatic mission in our country. This is a good occasion to look at the results of bilateral cooperation. A lot has been done over the past four years. The diplomat is expected to promote the interests of the countries in his new job. Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that there is a need to define a clear roadmap for cooperation, and not only with Kyrgyzstan.
President: It is necessary to work out a roadmap for cooperation with post-Soviet countries
"I often think about Belarus' interaction with post-Soviet republics. And by the example of Kyrgyzstan I usually come to the conclusion that we cooperate with the republics as God wills. Something remains from the Soviet period. For example, we used to buy sugar beet seeds from you. We probably continue to do so. We are satisfied with the quality and so on. But we have not come up with such a permanent plan, a roadmap, as it is fashionable to say, for cooperation between Belarus and the republics of the former Soviet Union - those that want to cooperate with us," the President said.
