Belarus has new head of Catholic Church

Belarus has a new head of the Catholic Church. Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz. On January 3, the metropolitan turned 75 years old. He held two services in the country's main Catholic church on his birthday.

A native of Pruzhany district, Kazimir Velikoselets, was appointed apostolic administrator in Belarus - he was head of the Pinsk diocese.
