Aleinik about contacts with Europe: We must always and everywhere talk, there is no alternative to dialogue
Belarus does not stop contacts with Europe. This was stated by Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik.
"I believe that one should always and everywhere talk, because there is no alternative to the dialogue. In the absence of dialogue, the confrontation will only intensify, getting more sophisticated forms. Of course we have to make efforts. It is precisely our job in the diplomatic service to build channels of communication and promote a positive agenda wherever possible. Where it is not possible, we are of course forced to respond and take measures that correspond to our fundamental national interests, which ensure the protection of the sovereignty and independence of our state," said Sergei Aleinik.
According to the minister, there is a small fraction of politicians in Europe with whom we can have a dialogue. "We have not stopped contacts with Europe. Of course, today they are very pointed," said the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. - "We also work through business alliances. We continue contacts at the political level, as well as with think tanks.
